7.7Time drifts rather than passes. Folk if you need a label, though it sits closer to an ambient-naturalist diary: tape hiss, a creaking chair, friends listening to each other exist. Sprague's writing skips linear storytelling for fragments caught in amber. It occasionally drifts too far inward, but that may be the point. It doesn't push or pull, it floats and waits.
