9.0Honest to the point of discomfort, an album that turns overthinking into something you can actually sit inside. Ellur builds the whole thing out of that low, warm register, Yorkshire vowels grounding lyrics that swing between candid and quietly devastating. The title track is the clear centerpiece, whispered doubt building into a real crescendo, asking to be held and made to feel at home in her own head. Missing Kid hits just as hard in a different way, upbeat on the surface but carrying real unease underneath. Nothing here resolves too neatly, which somehow makes it feel more true to what it's actually about. A debut that sounds fully arrived, not just promising.
