8.58.5/10 — One of my favorite new discoveries of 2026, and an album that seems to get better every time I listen to it. It Goes On was a completely new discovery for me this year, and it’s quickly become one of the albums I’ve enjoyed most in 2026. There’s something about it that immediately caught my attention, but the more I listen to it, the more I appreciate what Westside Cowboy are doing. What I like most about this album is how effortlessly it comes together. There’s a raw, youthful energy throughout the record, but it never feels forced. The songs are melodic, catchy, and full of personality, and there’s enough variety to keep the album interesting while still giving it a really cohesive feel. The biggest compliment I can give it is that it continues to grow on me. There are songs I liked when I first heard the album that I now love, and I’m still finding new things to appreciate with each listen. That’s usually a pretty good sign that an album has some staying power. It’s also one of those records that makes me want to hear the band live. There’s an energy to these songs that I think could translate incredibly well to a small or mid-sized venue, and I’m hoping to catch Westside Cowboy when they’re in Philadelphia in October. 8.5/10 — a great new discovery, one of the best new albums I’ve heard in 2026, and a record that keeps getting better the more I listen to it. Definitely an album I’ll be coming back to.
