Tom’s a good friend of mine, we go golfing whenever I’m down in Nebraska. I remember when he was workin on this album, he gave me a tape of some demoes and asked what i thought… I mulled over em for a couple weeks and sent him back my version of “Honey Bee” (pretty similar to the one you hear on the album, except I added a solo)

These four teens from the Bay did Metal almost better than Sabbath, that takes some real goodads to pull off. RIP Paul Gray.

Complicated… considered adding a cover of that track as a bonus on “Slippery When Wet” but my agent wouldn’t let me, said it wasn’t “the right fit”… BS!

Now lil Jeff here, or El Jeffe as I used to call him, I was friends with Tim back in the 60s, those were wild days, we once smoked a bowl of mushrooms out of a Lithuanian man’s prosthetic leg in Cabo… Well Jeff really had a fixation on Pakistan from a young age, he used to run around the garden yellin “grape strong army” and “I will die for Pakistan” that kinda thing, kid stuff really. But anyway I gave him a tape by Nusrat Fateh Ali Khan, I knew that kid could make it if he had the right inspiration and by god it worked.

What can I say, the kid’s got it!
