Marc is an American treasure. His original work is awesome but he is a master at recording and reinvigorating old soul classics. His rendition of Stagger Lee (made popular by Lloyd Price in ‘58) is one example. Marc’s the real deal in classic, earthy, bayou soul.

Such an underrated band. Their music is engaging, root-infused rock that blends melody, swagger, and earnest lyrics. Their energy is vibrant. Their vocals are warm. They remind me both Jackson Browne and Counting Crows. Have loved them since the early 2000s, and while it’s not listed in TrackStar, their album Lately (2010) stands the test of time. Check out Carry Me Home, you won’t regret it.
