Nada Surf is one of my favorite rock bands and Matthew Caws is one of my favorite lyric writers. He can find the poignancy in anything and craft it into a great band song.
I love every Nada Surf record, and it'd be very difficult for me to pick a favorite. Let Go is the one that started it for me though, so it's the one I recommend as a jumping off point. If you like this one, you will like just about everything they've released since.
One of the most beautiful, vulnerable, and badass records ever made. End of discussion. Lyrically and musically perfect from cover to cover.
Best way to listen...get the vinyl, get something to sip on, turn down the lights, turn up the speakers, and enjoy the next uninterrupted hour of your life.
One of my all-time favorite records from one of my all-time favorite bands. I originally discovered earlier DCFC songs from Napster and loved the storytelling and chime-y guitars. This was the first album to release after I became a fan, and I was blown away from the first drum beat.
This is probably my favorite Wilco album. Great songs with amazing performances captured from a fantastic band. Every song is great, but I'll never get tired of Nels' guitar on Impossible Germany. On and On and On is a beautiful and perfect album closer.
