8.7My dad and I found this burned CD when I was in the early stages of learning guitar, and he quickly became one of our favorite artists. He and I would play Cross of Flowers and Northbound 35 up until the day he passed, and to celebrate his life, my sister and I finally saw Jeffrey Foucault live. A truly stellar songwriter with an achingly beautiful voice.

9.0A standout, overlooked album from a folk rock wunderkind and a perfect companion for a California road trip. “Something Tells It Not To” into “Baby Was The Devil” is one of my favorite album openers of all time, while “Pain” is the ultimate afternoon-on-the-beach track.
