if i had a nickel for how many suicides are in this album i’d have two nickels

this album has no skips. people always say maroon 5's only good album is 'songs about jane', and that just tells me that person never listened to this album. this is the perfect sophomore album, each song is distinctly itself while supporting the overall vibe of the album. i love 'songs about jane' but this one is better (to me).

i wish british people were real

i was saw a tiktok of someone’s dad told them that ‘let down’ wasn’t actually a sad song but a song of hope, and that listening to the album front to back shows that. that really made me want to listen to more albums fully, in one sitting, taking in the experience as a whole. i had started that with this album and so good. makes me think of ‘i have no mouth but i must scream’
