all the feels. goosebumps every time.

it's insane that this album even exists. i keep coming back to it from time to time just to make sure that i still feel the same way about it, and somehow i always love it a bit more every time i listen to it. timeless.

you would think that they couldn't ever top A/B, and then they hit us with this brilliant, well rounded, expansive album. JJ's voice is at its peak in this one. and the writing is just so! deep. i'm so grateful for this band's art.

a forever album for the hopeless romantics

i have this album in a paper cover cd that i bought in new york right after it came out. missed their concert in nyc for 200 people by one day. they made an impact in the folk/indie era that still matters today. i miss those times, and if you know where i am coming from, you probably do too.

i love when a rock band makes space for women to feel safe at. this album is so important to me and my girlfriends. if i could sum up in three words: ethereal, sensual and delicious. and yes, rock can always be layered.

she IS the moment. she IS the future. this album changed the course of the industry. rappers, female, male and in between, you all had and have to step your game up because of her and this album. goat.

THE album for when i need to lock the f in and work

they know what they are doing! great album, even greater live. they are just, simple and easy: cool. it is those bands that make festivals great, and the more you get to know them, the more you like them.

everyone thinks that born to die was the album that changed the generation, but it's this one actually. i will die on this hill. i was there. this is when she proved herself to be what she still is today.

when i was around 9 years old, my older brothers would listen to nirvana on a discman and they would never let me have my turn. so when they would go to sleep, i would hide with their discman and listen to nevermind. when i found out about this album and wunderhorse, it teletransported me to that exact time and place, and i felt so alive. few months later i got to see them live and it was such an amazing experience. i can not wait to see what's to come.

one of the greats, and we need to appreciate her while she is here. this woman deserves all the good in the world. this album shows her history in the industry and how she was determined to make something greater than her battle. beautiful, big, honest, raw. i hope we get a long time with her, and she continues to carry some of amy inside of her.

i've made too many mistakes with this album playing in the background

yes, they have the best tiny desk to ever exist, but the most important part for me was that the material was good both live and recorded. the tiny desk, the recorded albums, and then their concert. one of the bests i have ever been to. they are completely crazy in the head, and that makes them also insanely smart.

just a beautiful album that tells us so much about justin vernon's walk of life. it shows that you can heal. <3

i wonder if fred ever takes a vacation and just sits in silence

i got so personally mad when this album came out because they were leaving the folk aside for awhile, only to be shut up by the most incredible work they had *and have* ever done (took me awhile to admit it). it is so important that artists feel safe when it comes to experimenting, otherwise we wouldn't have this masterpiece.

the incredible and horrible thing called feelings

it's 2017, you're in college, you have a silly crush, you're with your best friends, it's warm, but with a breeze. years pass, you're a grown up, it's winter, you're alone. melodrama is still playing, for both the nostalgia of what it was and for the present of what it is.

to write and produce this masterpiece completely by herself in the 70s... it is the blue print for a reason.

to see this whole album coming to life! the website they had, the characters, the weirdness, the fun, the sadness! sometimes i wonder if even glass animals themselves could recreate this album. it is a singular between a billion. thank god for these weird dudes.

no words can describe this album but you can be sure i sobbed while listening to it for the first time. there is a genius and the kindest soul inside this woman, and it is so beautiful to see her creating her music career. the fact that someone can be THIS multifaceted is so inspiring.

and the world was never the same!

i have been listening to florence and the machine since day one and somehow when this album came out it was like looking at a complete different florence. it felt quieter and more intimate than how big, how blue, how beautiful, but as always, still grandiose. i feel like all of her albums are confessions coming out from her gut, and she needs to scream because they are all so intense. but then when she starts to sing "and it's hard to write about being happy cause the older i get i find that happiness is an extremely uneventful subject"... just simple. the loudest confession, being sang so simply.
