Feels like Bon Iver taking a sledgehammer to his own sound and finding something new in the wreckage. Glitchy, fragmented, vocals chopped and processed in ways that shouldn't work but somehow do. Way more electronic than anything before it, but there's still that same aching core underneath all the noise. 33 "GOD" stands out, manages to feel both broken apart and oddly gentle at the same time. Takes a couple listens to click but once it does it's hard to shake. Weird, dense, and worth the effort.
