Bruised, brassy, and completely unguarded, a breakup record that never hides behind polish. Winehouse leans into vintage soul and Motown warmth, that lush horn backdrop never burying the rawness underneath. Rehab is the calling card, sass on the surface hiding something sadder. The title track strips it back, that voice sounding decades older than twenty three. A breakup album with real teeth, still hits just as hard years later.
