The smash follow up or companion record to Nebraska. So much heat and drive. To start a record with a drum machine but have so much verve. Most songs are standouts

An album full of gems—"Born in the U.S.A.," as everyone knows, may well be one of the most misunderstood songs of all time; it seems like a call to hollow patriotism, but it is actually a protest song. Other tracks became classics, such as "No Surrender," "Glory Days," etc. Great record.

The second record I ever bought (second-hand). Born in the U.S.A. is the perfect Track 1 for this album. There's a reason why he's dubbed The Boss. I highly recommend.
