Nothing in Coldplay's Catalogue comes close to the intimacy that Parachutes makes you feel when you're listening to it. Everything feels close and small, and puts you right into the emotion with the music and Chris Martin's vocal performance. Truly an unmatched album of it's time.

The debut, and only semi-decent, album by Coldplay. It was nice for its time, but has become dated.

Their first album and their BEST album. There are no skips! The songs of this album are linked to memories of relationships, breakups, intimacy, love and deep moods. “Parachutes” is used as a metaphor for something that helps you stay safe when in danger. This is a feeling that people from all generations can relate to and this is why the album stays relevant! It’s relatable and although it was released in 2000, the music itself is timeless as it’s not really reflecting a specific era. It has been 9 times platinum and has sold more that 2 million copies worldwide!!!

One of the first albums of my life that couldn't stop listening from start to finish without skip songs. It is a shame what Coldplay became to be.
